Staff Sergeant Devin Eddleman was born in Tampa, Florida, and raised in Southlake, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he played lead alto saxophone with the renowned One O’Clock and Two O’Clock Lab Bands. Beginning in 2010, SSG Eddleman led The Basically Basie Big Band, a Count Basie tribute ensemble that continues to perform in the North Texas area. In 2013, he was also a member of the Disneyland All-American College Band. After graduating, SSG Eddleman toured nationally and internationally with Broadway musicals, including A Chorus Line, 42nd Street, An American in Paris, South Pacific, and A Christmas Story. SSG Eddleman joined the US Army Jazz Ambassadors in March 2025 as second alto saxophonist and is thrilled to share his passion for jazz with audiences nationwide. In his spare time, SSG Eddleman is an avid reader, particularly enjoying the fantasy novels of Brandon Sanderson.
